Matt completed his law degree at Queen’s University Belfast before undertaking his professional training at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, completing his apprenticeship with MSM Law.
He works closely with the Criminal Law team and has a strong interest in defending clients facing serious allegations.
He also assists in prison law matters, inquests and judicial review cases.
He also represents clients at Prison Parole and Life Sentence Oral Hearings.
He represents clients before Mental Health Review Tribunals, ensuring that decisions affecting liberty and treatment are properly examined and fairly challenged.
Matt is motivated by careful case preparation and the importance of protecting clients’ rights from the earliest stage of proceedings.
