Eoghan assists, advises and represents clients when they encounter challenging legal problems, also providing support with the inevitable associated personal issues with passion and empathy. He is conscious of the need to also protect client reputation and financial plus personal wellbeing as far as possible in those difficult times.
He supervises various MSM departments including Family Law and Litigation whilst also leading the MSM Criminal Law team, aiding clients under investigation by various agencies but also those clients who find themselves before the Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
Eoghan has been awarded an Advanced Diploma in Corporate, White-Collar and Regulatory Crime by The Honorable Society of King's Inns, Dublin. Eoghan has also previously been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Justice by QUB.
Eoghan is an accredited Law Society Advanced Advocate.
Eoghan also has a particular interest in Human Rights Law, holding a LLM Masters in Human Rights from QUB. He is always anxious to protect client interests in as many other ways as possible such as via Judicial Review proceedings, for example.
Eoghan has also helped clients requiring representation in Public Inquiries, Inquests and also in Extradition Proceedings, previously attending a specialist course in Athens in relation to European Arrest Warrants.
Eoghan has encouraged a focus within MSM Law on Alternative Dispute Resolution and has undertaken and completed Mediator training.
Eoghan assists all MSM Law clients at a wider level in his strategic leadership role as MD of MSM Law. He had previously completed a mini MBA at QUB to assist those endeavours.
Eoghan was elected to the Law Society Council NI for a further three year term in 2022. He is also a previous Chair of the Belfast Solicitors' Association. He is a member of the Law Society NI Criminal Law, Education, Client Complaints and Access to Justice committees, numerous other legal groups and was previously appointed to sit on the Magistrates Rules Committee for nine years.
Eoghan is currently the chair of The Law Society NI Criminal Law Committee.
Eoghan is registered on the Roll of Solicitors in Belfast and Dublin.
Eoghan completed the inaugural Law Society NI Vulnerable Person Practitioner Course in 2025 which allowed MSM Law become the first firm to achieve this important accreditation at the earliest juncture.
He is determined to ensure clients receive their access to justice as required, with fair and just treatment at all stages in the Justice System via the best representation and advocacy.
