MSM Law on Will and Administration of Estates

A Will is an important document.

We spend our lives working to provide for ourselves and our families; having a Will ensures that we can continue to provide for those closest to us after our deaths.

Not having a Will means that your assets will be distributed according to the Rules of Intestacy which may not reflect what you would have chosen or your family circumstances. This can cause complications and additional stress for those you leave behind in what is already a difficult and emotional time.

Planning for a time when we will no longer be here is something no one likes to do however once done it can provide peace of mind that our wishes will be carried out.

It is also important to keep your Will up to date to take account of changing family, financial and legal circumstances.

Enduring Powers of Attorney are also relevant to people of all ages. An Enduring Power of Attorney is a document by which you can appoint who you would like to manage your assets on your behalf should you become unable to manage them for yourself.
